Dreams are images and thought your subconscious is trying to remember, But the answer is YES .
Here are some steps that may help you,
-Buy a small notebook, set it close to your bed and keep a pen nearby to write down what you dreamed about
-Before you go to bed each night, write what you want to dream about in the notebook. Draw pictures, write and draw with lots of detail, remember even the smallest things are important. Don't watch something before you go to bed or you may dream about that!
-Read what you've written as many times as you need to get it in your head
-Lie down, relax, and think hard about what you want to dream about. Think of details, they are important! Don't try too hard, or you'll get a major headache
-Lay in silence and darkness well before you are ready to fall asleep, in this time play out a day dream in your mind and slowly drift off into that
-Close your eyes and look at the images from your dream as they appear in your subconscious. If nothing appears, read your dream again. Imagine the sounds in the background, what you are seeing, feeling, etc
-Think of dialogue and sounds in your dream until you are hearing them in your mind
-Go to sleep with these images and sounds in your head
-When you have a dream get into it and realize you are having a dream, then you can control anything that happens
Finally, I wish you sweet dreams every night :)

the problem with unwanted dreams that they usually come without planning ,,, i mean one can really try to concentrate with these steps but keep having nightmares ,, just during nabs
and reminding ,,, that ones who always complain with nightmares ,, usually have some psychological problems that might leade to that as well
must mind that as well
but if someone just wanna to control their dreams (normal dreams) thats a perfect way to do that i guess
